I know that there are many reasons you may want to permanently delete your Facebook profile. The reasons may be personal to you but still it’s good to have a reasonable reason to permanently delete your Facebook account. If I may ask; is it as a result of hackers? The reason is best known to you being the owner of the account.
Facebook may discourage you to delete your Facebook account permanently; they do provide the option to reconfirm your request of deleting your account.
Step 1: Backup all of your data
First of all, it’s time to backup all posts, videos and photos. Click the “bottom arrow” in the upper right-hand corner
Go to ‘Settings’
In General Account Settings, Click ‘download a copy of all your Facebook information’, download archive.
Step 2: Delete your account
Click the “bottom arrow” in the upper right-hand corner, account settings, click security on the left menu, then click delete your account.
Note that you’ll also be asked to give a reason why you’re deleting your account. That’s why it is advisable to provide a good reason. Now all your Facebook information will be de-indexed but will be able to be easily restored back.
Step 3: Delete your Facebook account
Click on the “lock” icon in the upper right-hand corner, click the “magnifying glass” icon and then search for “delete”.
Step 4: Click on the result near the bottom that says “How do I permanently delete my account”. Now scroll down till you see the “Let us know” link. Click the delete my account. Enter your password, submit captcha.
